Apple Dipping

Whenever my children are ready for a snack, I offer them as much variety as possible.  This isn't always easy because my children aren't vegan, but they are open to try and often enjoy most ;-) of the vegan versions of foods I provide.  Apples and yogurt make a great snack and are a wonderful complement to one another.  This snack can be  prepared using soy, rice, or coconut yogurt.  For this one I used WholeSoy&Co. plain yogurt. It's lightly sweet which is nice in comparison to the bitter chalky taste I remember from traditional yogurt.  It is also creamier than traditional yogurt.  This is a nutritionally well rounded and simple snack that both I and my children really like.

1/2 cup yogurt(soy, rice, coconut)
thinly sliced apple(Fuji, Red Delicious, Honeycrisp, Gala)
pinch of cinnamon(optional)
handful of walnuts(optional

  • Place yogurt in a small container.
  • Add cinnamon and walnuts.
  • Enjoy with sliced apples.
